e (electronic) Discovery is the process of converting data contained in e–mail, email attachments, word processing files, spreadsheets, and other electronic documents into viewable  and fully searchable files, while also capturing source file meta data.

Previously, electronic documents have been printed out to hard copy, but this process will not capture attachments, blind copy recipients, embedded metadata information, creation and revision dates.
Through strategic alliances, IDEA offers e-Discovery services including:

  • file conversion of email and electronic documents to TIFF and fully searchable ASCII text files.

  • indexing of meta data (author, date authored, date sent, recipient, date opened, attachment links and other information) and creation of a load file so the information may be imported into a retrieval database.

  • forensic data recovery
