The Fun Side of Working at Trial Pro:
On the fun side. . .
We all work hard here at The Trial Professionals, P.A., but I’m happy to say that we also have some fun events which we really appreciate and enjoy. After all, everyone deserves a break and all of our employees certainly earn it.
For this past holiday, we had an “Ugly Sweater Contest” on the day of our firm luncheon which will now most likely become an annual tradition. We really had some laughs and it was great fun. Even the big boss participated! I was truly amazed at how talented and creative some of our group is and how seriously they took on the challenge to win. A gift card to the Cheesecake Factory was the prize and Bridget sure earned it.
Another fun event we do is to have a “pot luck” luncheon where everyone brings in something to eat, whether home cooked or not, and the firm reimburses the employees for whatever they purchase. The food our team has prepared in the past has been amazing. We’ve had rice and gandules (pigeon peas), beef brisket, pupsa (meat and cheese) beef stew, wings, meatballs, pastelon (sweet plantain lasagna), beans and rice, just to name a few of the gourmet items. The luncheons have been such a hit that we plan on having one every few months or so.
Once a year we have a firm outing to get out of the office and do something different. I never share what we will be doing until the day before or so. I like the element of surprise and our TrialPro team would expect nothing less from me. After a group lunch at a local restaurant, we all met at Colonial Lanes downtown. Our team all had on TrialPro t-shirts which looked great. Whenever someone bowled a strike they received a $5 scratch off ticket as a prize. I spent most of my time giving out prizes and I had to send someone to the store twice to get more tickets because I kept running out! The winning bowling team members were each presented with an engraved medal on a ribbon. Who knew we had such an awesome group of bowlers in this firm? It was a very fun day.
Treat your employees well and they will reciprocate in kind. Time for me to plan some more fun!
